How our Germantown program works
Your child works one-on-one with a Registered Behavior Technician, under weekly supervision from a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Goals are pulled from your family's real life — the drop-off at daycare on Middlebrook Road, a birthday party at SoccerPlex, or a Sunday shopping trip at Milestone.
In-home ABA therapy in Germantown
Nearly all Germantown families start with in-home sessions. Two to four hours, several days a week, in your living room and kitchen. As progress builds, we expand into community outings the family already does — SoccerPlex, the Germantown Library, or a walk at Seneca Creek State Park.
- Serving ZIPs 20874 and 20876
- Also covers northern reach toward Clarksburg (20871)
- Evening sessions available around dual-working schedules
MCPS Germantown schools
Germantown students attend MCPS elementaries like Lake Seneca, Waters Landing, Great Seneca Creek, Clopper Mill, Captain Daly, and Roberto Clemente; middle schools including Roberto Clemente and Kingsview; and Northwest, Seneca Valley, and Clarksburg high schools. With family consent, our BCBAs collaborate with school teams to align IEP or 504 goals with home ABA programming.
Local resources Germantown families use
Beyond therapy, Germantown families often benefit from Montgomery County's Infants & Toddlers Program, adaptive programs at the Germantown Indoor Swim Center, Montgomery College Germantown's autism-friendly community events, and BlackRock Center for the Arts' sensory-friendly programming.
Insurance and getting started
ABA Prep accepts Maryland Medicaid and CareFirst. Coverage and current openings are confirmed after our team reviews your request. We handle authorization paperwork and are transparent with Germantown families about openings.
Frequently asked
- Do you offer evening ABA sessions in Germantown?
- Where staffing allows, yes — many Germantown families request after-school and early-evening in-home sessions to work around parents' commutes.
- Can I use both MCPS services and ABA Prep?
- Yes. School-based supports and clinic-level ABA aren't the same thing, and with your consent we coordinate with the MCPS team so they don't work against each other.
