FAQ

How to Get In-Home ABA Therapy in Maryland

Starting in-home ABA therapy in Maryland is a short, structured process. Here's what to expect from your first call to your child's first session.

Step 1 — Confirm an autism diagnosis

Insurance requires a current autism spectrum diagnosis to authorize ABA. If you don't have one yet, talk to your pediatrician about a referral for a diagnostic evaluation.

Step 2 — Submit an intake to ABA Prep

Share your ZIP code, contact details, and insurance information in our short intake form. Our team confirms coverage and openings, usually within one business day.

Step 3 — Complete the initial assessment

A BCBA meets your family, gets to know your child, and writes an individualized treatment plan. The plan is submitted to your insurance for prior authorization.

Step 4 — Start weekly sessions at home

Once authorization is in place, your RBT begins regular in-home sessions with weekly BCBA supervision and parent coaching.
